Jayden Newman - Joanna & Joey. Jayden has been fighting cancer for almost 2 yrs. Mom & Jayden are in Cincinnati, Ohio now.

Shelby Hasty - had open heart surgery on 4-27-09. He is off the vent and in a regular room at ParkRidge. We praise God for bringing Bro Shelby through this surgery continue to pray in the days ahead.

Dr Renyolds mother- she had a bad fall.

Randy's Aunt Sharon in Maryville,Tn she passed out and may have broken her hip.

As many of you know, that song is special to me bc of my brother Jarod. He says he is an athesist and I wrote the song for him. God is still saving souls and dealing with the hearts of men and women today.

Praise God! HE IS RISEN AND SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER MAKING INTERCESSION FOR US UNTIL THE FATHER SENDS HIM TO BRING HIS CHILDREN HOME!!

As I type this, it is snowing outside. A dogwood winter it what its called.To us, its just another sign of the times we are living in. His return is near!

April has brought a lot of blessing for Shields of FAITH. God has really been blessing our partnership with WWAM. I do a 30 min broadcast called Digging Deeper into the Word on Mondays from 4-430 cst 5-530 est. We have a 2 hr S.O.F. broadcast that airs each Sat from 1-3 cst and 2-4 est. We have interviewed Bonita Eileen, Gary Winningham and this week will be Mark Bishop. Next week Kenny Bishop and the first Sat in May the 2nd we will have Ernie Dawson and Heirline. So as you can see we are staying busy. The station is 820 A.M out of Jasper,Tn.

Friday April 10th -THE INSPIRATIONS AND THE MCKAMEYS will be in concert at the TIVOLI Theatre at 7 p.m. You wont want to miss it!

My health update: I went to Galen Med bldg today and took a 3 hr test and I go nect Mon 27th for another test .After that, I will have surgery to repair a tear, fix my bladder and my hernia. Dr Yates was 95% sure that I had Crohns disease but praise God ---no evidence of Crohns!!!! God is in control.

Keep me in your prayers. I have too much work to do to be sick lol.

Praise the Lord. Just wanted to let you know what is going on with Shields of Faith. Good news: Catrina will be getting married on March 28!! Her and Randy are excited as the big day is approaching.

Also , God has opened up an opportunity for us to minister on the radio and for me,Dana, to do a weekly ministry of the Word. It's on AM 820 in Jasper,Tn. It costs $25 a week. Greetings my brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In times like these, with an economy crumbling,jobs scarce and people suffering; I praise God for a miracle.

We were out at Hardee's on Hixson Pike last night. For those of you who may not know they have 100+ people attend there every week. It is standing room only by 6:00 p.m. and it doesn't start til 6:30p.m. Standing in the doorway shortly after Josh and I got there last night, a family walked in. Bro Darryl,his wife and 2 small children had us at their benefit last summer. I had them on my mind all week and had even tried to call them but their line had been disconnected. I soon found out why. Bro Darryl lost his job in October and they lost their house in November. They are living with family. We talked and he shared how he was making collector cards with Bible verses and selling them. He shared how he was about to lose his car. Josh came out and heard the tail end of the conversation. We went inside. A few minutes later, Josh came to me with tears in his eyes and said the Lord laid it on my heart to give Bro Darryl the offering tonight. I said yes! From there I seen the most precious miracle I've ever witnessed. The offering was $175. After that, a woman came up to Bro Darryl and gave him a check for $500. Another woman came up with a check for $200. Another lady gave him a check for $125. The brother was so humbled by God's goodness. He shared that he told the Lord that he needed $1,000.00 to get caught up on everything. Well he had $990 and I just had to give him $10 to meet his goal. If Josh hadn't been obedient then that miracle wouldn't have happened. We must be sensitive to the Lord's voice. No matter whether it makes sense to us or not. I'm reminded of John 6 :12 &13. Five loaves and 2 fishes in the Master's hand fed 5000 not counting women and children with 12 baskets left over. Our God is more than enough in these times and HE will supply our needs. HE is not a respector of persons. He loves us all. There is a message in the miracle.

Pray for the economy.Lost.Sick. Ask God for a miracle and watch what HE will do!

Happy 2009 everyone. The Lord has seen fit to allow us to enter into a brand-new year. With this year comes new opportunities to share the Gospel with a lost and dying world.
The Apostle Paul's words in Phillipians 4:12; "I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need." This is words to hold onto during this time of uncertainity before our King's Return.

My uncle is in jail facing prison sentence this month. God is in control and knows what is best.

We need to pray for one another. We need to assemble ourselves together even more as we KNOW the day is NOW approaching and is at hand.

Wow! Christmas is only 8 days away as I type this.

What a wonderful time of the year if you don't get caught up in the money and you focus on the reason. Over 2,000 yrs ago, in a humble stable Jesus was born into this world wearing a robe of flesh that would take Him to the cross to die for your sins and mine. Praise His Holy Name! I find myself going back in my mind to that night and the gifts the wise men presented and suffered a long journey to give to Jesus. On this side of the cross, here we are in the final moments before His return. My spirit rejoices that HE is my KING!!! He is coming and we must be about Father's business instead of in everyone elses. Beloved, now is the time to be more dedicated, more focused and serve God with ALL of our hearts. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. When we seek Him everything else fades in comparsion.Tell a stranger in the store about JESUS. Witness to this world with a smile the love of God birthed in your heart. Let Jesus shine from your life into the lives of others. It is the best gift we can give to the world and our loved ones. It is the gift that keeps giving into eternity. Give your testimony. Take time to send a card to uplift and point someone to Jesus. We are running out of time to tell . Beloved let us love one another. Cover one another in prayer and point ALL souls to the Light that entered the world on CHRISTMAS all those years ago.

We know it's been too long since our update. First of all, we would like to wish each and every one a Happy Thanksgiving.

We are thankful for our salvation, God's mercy and His grace.We are thankful that gas prices are down.

We have been busy with family and working.

We are enjoying this beautiful fall weather. We are excited to see what God has in store for us.

First of all, thank you to all of you that came out to celebrate our 3rd year in ministry. What a time in the Lord!! Thank you to Back Home & Bonita Eileen for obeying the Lord and helping to make our celebration a success!! We were humbled by the 100t people who came out. Bro Carl Human from WFLI did an outstanding job!!!!!!

October has brought us new churches to minister in and we thank the Lord for the doors that are being opened. We have an ad in Christian Voice Magazine and we will be in it Nov and Dec as well.

Well, this is a little late coming out. We went to NQC this year made wonderful new friends and sang on the stage with Gold City,The Dove Brothers, Susan Whisnant. It was a blessing and something we will neer forget. The best thing though was having people come to our booth for prayer and fellowship. GOD IS GOOD!
Update on my grandmother:after 22 days in the hosp/Siskin she is home and recovering praise the Lord.

Remember to pray for our ministry list,other ministries, our economy, the lost and the shut ins. If there was ever a time we needed to bind together and pray it is NOW!! We do not have long friends until the trumpet will sound to take us home. We must be about the Father's business.

It is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye to my step-sister Ashley Denise Lusk Sue born Sept 20,1984 left on Aug 2, 2008 just weeks before her 24th birthday. She was a very loving person with a smile that lit up the room. I knew Ashley as a small child before my mom married her dad. I never had a sister and it was my honor to be hers. Depression played a vital role in her departure from this world. Some people are blessed and never get a visit from the unwelcome guest of long- term depression. Others have it as a constant companion. In honor of Ashley, I ask each one of you that if you see someone suffering please reach out to them. It just might save a life. Sitting at the funeral home last night. I could not help to wonder how many others may be suffering in the dark ;too ashamed to speak about it for fear that no one would care or understand. I want to say that I will be there for those that are hurting . This means going OUT of our way. Listening and praying. Ashley- I will do my best to love like you did , forgive as if it never happened immediately instead of thinking it over.Living an example before God and my fellowmen that loves. I love you sweet girl. I will miss you.

WOW! I can not believe that August is already here! We are just one month away from NQC and things are coming together rapidly. Our single, "A Good Day" has gone into HEAVY ROTATION on 3 stations. SweetWater,Tn, Kentucky and Louisiana. God is good. You can call A.M. 1070 M,T,W,T, 12-5p.m. and request it. Also , US101 Gospel Road.It is on Potter's Child Promo Disc #6 track #4. We found out Friday that we needed to have a publishing company and we hated to pull $ out of the savings acct. We prayed and while we were @ Mt Sumach the Lord laid it on Bro Tommy's heart for the church to give us the $150 fee and they gave us an additonal $300 in tables sales/love offering. GOD IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God is opening more and more doors and we are excited to see where HE is taking us next.

Colton started 5th grade on Aug 1 and on Aug 30 my Thomas will be 1 already! What precious gifts our children are from the Lord.
I have been busy canning and baking homemade breads which has proven to be a blessing to our ministry in the hard economic times but GOD is faithful. David said," I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging bread."

Hi all ! We are so excited. We just finished up our 2nd project yesterday in Sharps Chapel,Tn with Shane Roark. Chapel Valley Studio is a wonderful experience. We learned so much. Our new project is titled,"EXTREMES". We are dedicating this project to God's Glory and putting it into His Hands to do with it what He wants to do!

We do not have a definite release date however it will be posted on the website as soon as we get it back. The new project will be 10 songs and we are selling them for $15 .

Hi all ! We are so blessed! We enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship and God's power locally esp Burger King in Ft O.We made many new friends and got some new appts. Praise God for opening the doors where HE sends you!!!
We are having our pictures done tomorrow for our new project. We go into the studio on May 2nd with all new faves," Child, Look Up and," Come Unto Me". We will know more about our release date after we meet with Shane at the studio. We thought we had a title for our project but some friends already have that one so we are praying.
